January 8—31, 2010 "New Beginnings" Prairie Winds artists bring in the New Year with a selection of new artworks. Show
runs through January 31st.

February 1—28 2010 “10th Annual Regional Photography Competition and Workshop” - Photographers from a
multi-state area compete for over $800 worth of awards. A multi-day workshop and "crane shoot" will be conducted by
renowned wildlife photographers Rick Rasmussen & Cheryl Opperman at a date to be announced.
Show reception is Friday, February 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
Skywinds Gallery: “5th Annual HAL-64 Project” - Area middle school High Ability Learning students present their popular show
and competition and join in the Friday evening reception.

March 1—31, 2010 “Spirit of the Cranes” Photographer Rick Rasmussen joins his sister, painter Kathi Rasmussen Lohr, in
celebrating the return of the cranes and spring to the Platte River Valley.
Reception is Friday, March 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
Skywinds Gallery: The talented art students from Grand Island Senior High will exhibit their works and join in the Friday
evening reception.

April 1—30, 2010 “11th Annual National Miniature Show” is a competition open to artists from all over the USA. This
multi-media show gives more than $800 worth of awards.Renowned painter Gary Ozias will be presenting a three day pastel
workshop April 9 - 11. For more information on entering the show or attending the workshop, click here.
Reception is Friday, April 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

May 1—31, 2010 "Portals" Artists Rosie Leonard and Charlie Mitchell open the doors of their hearts in this inspiring
presentation of art in a variety of media. Reception is Friday, May 7 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

June 1—30, 2010 “Places and Open Spaces” - Prairie Winds is proud to present a show featuring the latest works of
photographer Carrie Monroy and painters Tresa Haney & Mary Smith. Reception is Friday, June 4 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

July 1—31, 2010 TBA

August 1—31, 2010 “On the Square” is a unique and thought provoking show by area artists Donna Binfield, Jan Wiemers,
Jean Cook, and Donna Ryan. Reception is Friday, August 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

September 1—30, 2010 “A Thread Runs Through It” - Prairie Winds artist Karen Krull Robart is joined by her sister, Texan
Susan Kennedy, and Omaha artist Peg Watkins in exploring art with a common "thread".
Reception is Friday, September 3 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

October 1—31, 2010 "Imagination" - Celebrated Nebraska artists Patsy Smith and Ken Bassett display their latest creative
paintings in this "imaginative" show. Reception is Friday, October 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

November 1—30, 2010 Show and Book Release of the latest inspiring, collaborative works of artist Cynthia Duff and poet
Tricia Moon-Beem. Reception is Friday, November 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

December 1—31, 2010 “In the Spirit” is a holiday fantasy of art and gifts to put you in the holiday spirit and fill your wish
list. Holiday Open House is Sunday, December 5 from noon to 5:00 PM.
