10th Annual Photography Competition and Show
February 1 - 27, 2010
This competition, open to all photographers, awards more than $500 in prizes and purchase awards. This year's show will be judged by
Rick Rasmussen, a lifelong native of central Nebraska. Mr. Rasmussen has been involved in photography for over 35 years. He has
won many awarda, including Grand Prize Winner in Wyoming Wildlife Magazine's photo competition, Highly Honored Winner in
Nature's Best Magazine's Windland Rice International Awards Competion, Best of Show at Stuhr Museum's Wings Over the Platte
competition, plus many more.

2010 Competition Calendar:

January 30, 2010: Deadline for entries, shipped and hand delivered.

February 1 - 27: Show dates.

February 5: Awards Reception from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Prairie Winds Art Center..

March 1 -7: Unsold works to be picked up.

Media: All photographic media to include hand tints, Polaroid, and digital ohotography.

Rules:

1. All entries are subject to be juried. Decision of the Judge is final.

2. All entries must be original works not previously exhibited in a Prairie Winds Art Center show.

3. Frame size must not exceed 16" x 20", or 320 square inches on the inside of the frame.

4. All work must be ready for hanging with wire and screweyes.
No sawtooth hangers are allowed.

5. All entries must be for sale.

Liability

Submission to the exhibition constitutes acceptance of stated conditions and includes permission to photograph accepted works for
publicity and educational purposes. All entries will be handled with care. However, Prairie Winds Art Center will not be responsible
for any loss or damage to submitted works. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.

Shipping and Receiving:

Work should be hand delivered or shipped to Prairie Winds Art Center on or before January 30, 2010. Artwork must be packed in
reusable containers and a return address label and return postage must be included. UPS pre-paid return label is preferred. Please use
bubble wrap and rubber bands - no tape or packing peanuts. No P.O. Box # on return shipping label, only street address will be
acceptable.

Return of Work

All works, other than the shipped works, must be picked up at Prairie Winds Art Center between March 1 and March 7, 2010. Entires
not picked up by March 30, 2010 will become the property of Prairie Winds Art Crnter.

Fees

$30 fee for up to rhe limit of three entries.. All fees are non-refundable.

All entries must be for sale. A 35% commission will be charged on all sales.

Digital Photography Workshop
Instructors: Rick Rasmussen and Cheryl Opperman. Both Mr. Rasmussen and Ms. Opperman have won numerous awards for their
photographic works, and have traveled around the world in the pursuit of their art.

Day 1: Saturday, March 27, 10 AM to 5 PM; Basic Digital Photography. An in-depth overview of the use of the digital camera,
including equipment selextion, camera settings and operation, and basic competition.

Day 2: Sunday, March 28, 10 AM to 5 PM. The Digital Darkroom. This session will cover the most important aspects of taking
the image file from the camera to the computer for processing and printing using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.

Day 3: Monday, March 29, On Location. . Limited to 12 participants, this day will allow you the opportunity to put the frst two
days of instruction into practice. We will photograph local wildlife at sunrise and sunset, while spending the middle of the day
providing one on one help with processing and improving overall technique.

WORKSHOP FEES:

Sat. March 27 and Sunday, March 28: $150 per Day or $275 for both days. Limit of 50 students.

Monday, March 29, Workshop on Location: $75. Limit of 12 students.
