Children's Art Classes

Art Classes for Elementary and Middle School Students:

These classes will be art exploration in different media and styles. Students will experience and create two- and three-
dimensional art. The elements and principles of design, art history, art appreciation, and compositional skills will be
introduced and explored.

Elementary children's classes are for 1st grade through 5th grade.

Middle school classes are for 6th grade through 8th grade. These classes are scheduled as needed. Please contact the
art center if you have a middle school child that would like to take art classes; the class wll be scheduled when a
minimum class size of 6 students is reached.

Instructors:
Instructors are all practicing professional artists and experienced art teachers.

Elementary Children's Classes:

SUMMER ART CAMPS:

This class is for children who have FINISHED kindergarten though grade 5. Projects will be adapted to meet the
needs of the different ages and grade levels. Instructors are Dee Spencer Rodgers and Donna Ryan.

Class fee is $60 and includes most supplies and a snack. Students are asked to bring a sketchbook and pencil each
day. Please dress appropriately as we get messy at times!

Two sessions, with the same information covered in each session:

Session 1: June 7-10, 9 AM to 12 PM
Session 2: June 14 - 17, 9 AM to 12 PM

Please indicate on the registration form which session you are registering for. Classes are limited to the first 20 students
who sign up.
